I’m currently updating the Chords and Lyrics WordPress plugin.
This is just a copy of the test-song page used for testing it.

  1. Hi Ron,

I’ve just downloaded your plug-in. It looks really great. I have one problem though… How do I “transpose” the chords? I’m not a PHP programmer so I don’t know how to work around the code.

  2. Hi Ron,

I tweaked your plugin to handle some more of the ChordPro syntax, plus a couple of custom fields (“composer” and “listen”). You can see an example of it at http://davidgraybeard.com/i-dont-know-how/. The title box is created from the meta information about a song. It ties in with a “plain” mode in my theme that lets me print just the post to a PDF, for gigging (using PDFmyURL.com).

If you’d like, I can email you my changed file. I had to reformat it with my IDE to work on it, and I stopped marking changes with my initials, but most of the changes were in the one function, FormatAndDisplayLine().

Not sure if the additions will be of interest to you or others, but thought I’d offer it just in case.

    Thanks for the great plugin!
    Cheers,
    -dqj

  3. Hi Ron, Great Plugin.

I know this is a old project for you but I was hoping to use it for my Church Worship group site and would love to be able to let musicians transpose the key.

I don’t suppose you would be up for adding a sidebar widget to allow this to be done by site visitors? Or is there a way I can do this.

btw I am very IT savey, but not a programmer.

  4. Hi.
    Ron, I like this plugin.

I use it for one site and like adcmtc said, I would like in front end, users to can change the transponse key just as they are viewing the song.

I use and “jTab Guitar Tab Shortcode” to show how chords can be played, and both plugins will do a greater job if can be used together as one plugin.

    Thank you for this plugin.
